From Long Island with love

This weekend I judged the East Coast Independent, Battle of the Bands, for Warped Tour. The battle took place at The Vibe Lounge in Rockville Center, NY (Long Island) and the local music fans came out in force to support their favorite locals.

One band especially caught my attention; The Queue, from Bay Shore, NY. The Queue had almost 100 kids their to show support, many of which took hour-long train rides from the east side of New York City.

Now, don’t get me wrong, some local PA bands will bring out that amount of kids. But, The Queue’s fans danced to their music, did some crowd surfing and new the words to almost every song.

Thanks for restoring my faith in local music, Long Island.
